Asidrona Aeronautics Research and Development Laboratory (AARDL) is an innovation lab focussing on the research and development of novel technologies in the field of Propulsion for satellites, Propulsion for UAVs and Aerospace composite materials, Structure for small satellites and UAVs.
Electric propulsion R&D unit
Fuel Less Thruster :
The most advanced thruster which does not require any fuel. The thruster can be used for
crafts and satellites for life time of the mission. It can be designed to deliver micro newton,
milli newton and even few newton thrust.
Propulsion for smaller satellites The main focus is on cube-sat propulsion system.
UAV/USV propulsion unit
This department is involved in the research and development of propulsion for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and Unmanned Space Vehicles (USVs).
We are into the development of UAVs used for Agriculture purpose. Apart from that we are also involved in the research and development of small size Unmanned Space Vehicle which is an analogy for UAV/UAS.
This department is mainly focusing on the development of composite parts for aerospace application. Recent work involves the development of propellant storage tanks for satellites, structure for cube-sat, USV structural parts.
AARDL is also focusing on practical oriented teaching and will be a helping hand for every Aerospace/Aeronautical engineering students and graduates to develop their engineering skills. We provide 6 months internship for fresh pass out students and 1 year graduate training program. Apart from that we have academic collaboration program. In this program engineering colleges having Aerospace/Aeronautical department can get associated with us. AARDL will establish Asidrona Aeronautical Skill Development Centres in such associated colleges, through which the students will get trained for the updated technologies used in the Aeronautical/Aerospace Industries. This will help the students to fill the skill gap and helps them to get a job in this domain.
